52 Lists // No. 17 - People I Admire

My Husband -  He shows kindness to the less fortunate, and gets frustrated with all the injustice in the world. He believes everyone should be treated equally, and tries to live out this belief. He works hard for me, and helps me in any way he can. He is smart, creative and super talented. Family is very important to him. He might get frustrated with them, but if they ever need anything, he will be the first to offer help or support. He is tough, but isn't afraid to show his tender soul. He witnessed physical violence his whole life, but he is proof that we can end the cycle of abuse. He gently pushes me out of my comfort zone, and helps me achieve things I thought I never could. He may love babies even more than I do! :)

My Mumsy - She is probably one of the most patient, loving people in the world. She not only was a stay-at-home mum, but she also has been home educating her children for more than 30 years. She has good relationships with all 8 of her living children, and has sacrificed so much for her family. She has experienced the tragic loss of having to bury a child and instead of becoming bitter, she somehow managed to become even more graceful and caring. She doesn't let her fears stop her from doing new and scary things, like taking up karate and dance in her fifties!

My Dad - My dad is the most reliable person I know. He taught me the importance of having a good work ethic, by going to work day in and day out, to support his family. He loves his kids, and will do anything to help or encourage them. If anybody needs help moving, or building something he is always quick to offer his help, and the help of his kids. ;) He calls my mum everyday at lunchtime to see how she is doing and to tell her, he loves her. He can fix almost anything, and has saved many a broken electronic device.

Each one of my siblings:
Robyn -  I admire her creativity and hospitality. How she strives to better herself and be a good wife and mama.

Chris - I admire what strong character he has. How hardworking he is, and how devoted he is to his family.

Josh - I admire his generous heart, his spirit of adventure, and how he doesn't let things that scare him stop him from achieving his goals.

Andrew - I admire his determination, and sense of loyalty and how he strives to be the best at whatever he attempts to do.

Cara - I admire her commitment and dedication to what she feels she is called to do, how she puts her heart and soul into everything she does.

Joel - I admire his artistic talent, and his kind heart, and how passionate he is about the things he likes.

Raelle - I admire how honest and reliable she is. I admire her self- confidence and her awesome sense of humour.

Isaac, Sarah, & Marcia - marrying into our big, crazy family is not for the faint of heart. ;) I admire how each of them bring out the best in their spouse, and how accepting they are of our family.

Mekhala - I admire what a strong, independent woman she is. I admire that she chose nursing as a profession, and everything that being a nurse entails.

My friend Sarah - I admire her courageous spirit, how determined she is to live life to the fullest, and her total devotion to her family.

My In-laws - I admire how brave they are. How they packed up their family and traveled across the world to a new country, to give their kids a chance at a better future.

My grandparents (on both sides) - For everything they have done. Raising amazing kids that turned into my parents. So blessed.

My dance teacher, Ms. Barbara - she is an incredible woman. I wish everyone I know could take a class from her. Seriously, she makes you feel so good about yourself. Even when she critiques you, she doesn't make you feel bad. I am so glad I had the opportunity to be taught by her, and can't wait until I can take another class from her.

I admire people that make the most out of what life hands them.

I admire people who work hard and with integrity.

I admire people who are generous with their time and resources.

I admire people that use their God-given talents to the best of their ability.
